Job Requirement
• Receiving and handling blood and/or other biological specimens according to established procedures.
• Performs a variety of clinical laboratory tests in the areas of hematology, microbiology, immunology, clinical chemistry, and urinalysis.
• Conducts quantitative and qualitative chemical analyses of body fluids such as blood, urine, and spinal fluid; performs blood counts using microscope.
• Performs quality control on test results, ensuring validity and accuracy.
• Performs calibration and troubleshooting on testing systems and instruments to ensure adherence to established standards of accuracy.
• Able to maintain instruments and troubleshoot problems.
• Keeps records and reports on results according to established procedures.
• Practices safety, environmental, and/or infection control methods.
• Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned
Job Responsibilities
• Possess Bachelor Degree in Biochemistry, Biomedical Science or Medical Laboratory Technology from a recognised University.
• 1-2 years experience in laboratory work gained in a medical laboratory or hospitals. Fresh graduates can also apply as training is provided.
• Must be prepared and willing to work overtime and in shifts.
• Mature, resourceful, independent, meticulous & able to work under pressure.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills and with good command of English (both oral and written).
• Self-starter, motivated and possess self-initiative.
